Conviction in conceit.
Denial of defeat.
Resurrection over retreat.
In LADY LORD MACBETH the audience sits at bed and board with the entwined couple as their power, ambition, and raw ache rage within and without on their journey to the throne.
This newly-devised, one-act play uses exclusively Shakespeare’s words and, quite simply, fewer of them.
By distilling this play to its barest sinew — two partners alone in their war against loss of soul and legacy — we get to experience the crush, joy, and release of the total submission and entanglement of love.

Alyssa Herron (she/her) is a writer and actor. Her deepest stage thrill so far has been playing Blanche in Streetcar Named Desire, next to her favorite acting partner. Publishing her novel Drowning Above Water has been her cheekiest writing success. As a playwright, she has been honored to see her stage work produced by multiple inventive and passionate theatre companies here in Pittsburgh. Her greatest success and love is her backstage Cru. The words from her dreams live at www.darkyarnproductions.com.
Brett Sullivan Santry (he/him) is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native. He works variously as an actor, director, teaching artist, and dramaturg. He holds MFA and MLitt degrees from Mary Baldwin University’s Shakespeare in Performance program, as well as a BA in Playwriting and Directing from Goddard College. He is proud to stand beside Alyssa Herron on a fifth production together. His most cherished roles, however, are those of father to Ivy and husband to Holly.
